Right After Rain Drop was painted from a viewpoint in British Columbia’s mountains, where the air still shimmered with mist. The rain had just ended, leaving the world rinsed and luminous.
I was drawn by how the clouds opened, revealing streaks of sunlight that gently touched the water below. The colors—fresh greens, purples, and gold—seemed to breathe together, like nature exhaling after a long sigh.
In this painting, light doesn’t dominate—it reconciles. Everything, from the distant ridges to the quiet bay, finds balance in that fleeting calm when the world feels both fragile and infinite.
