Description

Painted on Vancouver Island, Meditation captures a tranquil moment when sea and sky breathe in harmony. The swirling reflections of light and kelp become a visual echo of thought—fluid, layered, ungraspable.

I wanted to paint not the sea itself, but the state of mind it awakens: a calm awareness that expands and dissolves at once. The rhythmic strokes follow the tide’s slow pulse, each curve a meditation in motion.

In stillness, the painting hums softly—a reminder that peace is not the absence of movement, but its gentlest form.
