Painted along the coast of Vancouver Island, Tide portrays the sea at its quietest rhythm—gentle, yet endlessly alive.
The sun hangs low, radiating concentric light that shimmers across the moving surface. Each ripple holds a fragment of warmth, a trace of wind, a whisper of passing time.
Here, motion and stillness coexist. The water flows, yet nothing truly departs—it only returns in new form, new light. In painting it, I felt the tide not as water, but as breath—a reminder of cycles, patience, and renewal.
